Hi girls! Have seen advertised in a magazine today and just seen an advert on tv for the new roll on L’oreal foundation. Looks pretty 21st century to me!! Anyone tried it? I want to give it a go, but obviously have the Maxfactor second skin on my list too, plus read some raving reviews about guerlain foundations, but think I’ll have to wait till I get a pay packet through for my new job to be able to afford one of those!!
I’ve read a couple of reviews on it and people say it’s good, covers well, blends well, but you still have to blend a little with your fingers afterwards. Think I might wait until a few more people have reviewed it. Saying that though, I do love the L’oreal true match pressed powder, so if this is similar it might be good. Maybe boots or superdrug will have an offer on it soon seeing as it’s a new product?
Give me a shout if you’ve tried it by leaving a comment.
Much love, Laura xx
I’ve just been reading Little Miss Beauty Junkie’s Blog, and tried this google game…
‘The idea is to go to Google and type in “Your First Name” and “Wants” e.g “Laura wants”…’
Then post the first 5 results! I think it’s quite funny!!
1. Laura wants… To be a vet
2. Laura wants… To go further
3. Laura wants… To break.
4. Laura wants… Daniel to win the XF.
5. Laura wants… A baby.
Hmmm… Okay. 2 and 5 are my favourite… But I don’t want a baby just yet! Give me a few years at least

I received two sample of this through the post. Each sample came with two different colours, 70 and 75.
70 was much too pinky for my skin as a yellow based foundation works a lot better for me, and 75 was too dark as I’m pretty pale at the moment as haven’t been in the sun a lot nor on the sun bed!
I decided I’d rather look a bit darker/bronzed than pinky, so I went ahead and used number 75. It kind of felt very watery when I applied it to my skin and I didn’t think it was going to cover my acne scars on my cheeks, but amazingly enough it just kind of sunk into my skin and covered everything without having to build it up like my MAC foundation I’m currently using. I was amazed! It just looked so natural and dewy. I finished off with a tiny bit of concealer over any raised spots and a dusting of powder. My skin looked and felt lovely!
I’m going to pop over to boots once I received my vouchers through from my surveys to see how the other colours look on my skin. I will be so disappointed if the rest are too pinky or too fair for my skin because I can’t put up with a dark one, even though the tone suits my skin. Will let you know how I get on!
Testing my new HTC phone out. Will see if I can blog a bit more now! Can’t believe it’s been so long since I last posted! xx
I took a trip to Aldi today to stock up on some 49p fruit from Aldi. Bargain! I got 2 x punnet of Cherries for 49p each and 2 x punnet of Peaches for guess how much, yes, 49p! I also got some other bargains, asparagus – a big bunch, for £1.09. Jersey royal potatoes 69p. An amazing looking piece of sirloin steak for £2.99 (bit expensive but I can’t resist my steak even though I should be cutting down because apparently red meat is not good for endo).

. I took a look at the beauty products as was after some of the Lacura Wrinkle Stop which contains synthetic snake venom which supposedly freezes your skin like botox. And for £6, I was willing to give it a go. Have read the statistics online which say that testers noticed a 52% reduction in wrinkles. Unfortunately, due to the amazing results, they have sold out and not going to be getting any more in stock until the end of June. Damn!!!

Well, anywa
y. I did pick up some other beauty bargains. I’ve always been a fan of their Siana day and night cream which is £1.99 for a 50ml glass jar. Wow! Where else can you get a face cream from for £1.99? I still have quite a lot left, so what with me trying to save money, I decided not to stock up! Instead I got a Lacura Balancing Day Cream for combination skin. It contains vitamin E, avocado oil & bisabolol which is a form of chamomile. It was only £1.99 and doesn’t look like a £1.99 cream! For some reason, the silver writing reminds me a bit of Sisley.
I tend to get through loads of body lotion too, so I picked up a 500ml bottle of Lacura Moisturising Body Lotion for dry skin. You can get this for dry skin, or normal skin. This set me back a measly £1.25.
I shall let you know how I get on with my two new bargain products!! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

A quick update
I am back from my lovely holiday in Corfu. Had a lovely time and the weather was glorious. Such a shame to be back in England, but nice to sleep in my own bed at night and have routeen in my life. The weather here in England has been fab over the last couple of days too.
I am also almost fully recovered from my laperoscopy now. I went to the Drs on the Friday before I flew and she thinks I had an infection which is why I was in so much pain
I was put on two different types of antibiotics for 7 days, and within 3 days I was feeling soo much better. I just keep getting period pain type cramps and a few stabbing pains now and again now. My scars are looking so much better too.
Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Gel SPF15 150ml

I brought some of this to take on holiday with me because I liked the fact that it was clear and sounded like it wouldn’t take much effort to rub in. Anyway, after using it for one day, I threw it away! The alcohol content in it was very, very high. It actually smelt of turpse when I applied it to my skin. It reminded me a little of that alcoholic water free hand wash that you get. My skin felt quite dry and taught after using it as upon application, it just evaporated. Then it kind of peeled off. I looked like I was covered in bits of dead skin and I felt yucky and dirty.
I’m not sure what the spray one would be like, maybe if anyone has tried it they could let me know? But I’d thoroughly recommend trying a different sun lotion. Please don’t waste your money on the Clear Protect Gel.
I went to the doctors yesterday to have my last stitch removed and check to see if I’m okay after my laperoscopy as still in a lot of pain and struggling. Anyway, the doctor has put me on Metronidazole (can’t drink ANY alcohol with) and Amoxicillin for 7 days. This isn’t too great as I fly to Greece on Monday morning. I’ve also been given more painkillers. The doctor advised me not to fly… But I’m going to ignore her advice as everyone believes that after a week in the sun and resting, I will fully recover. Just worried about the flight and how I’ll cope with the seats.
Brand New You Tube
Did anyone receive their Brand New You Tube through in April? Please let me know if you did or didn’t by leaving a comment. I haven’t received anything from them since my last tube in January. Really want it to come through soon!

I love this stuff!! Wouldn’t be without it. I try not to wash my hair everyday, because I’ve been told it’s bad to because you are washing away all the natural oils which help to moisturise your locks and keep them in good condition, but if I don’t my hair looks lank and greasy.
In the morning, I give my roots a quick blast with my personal preferred preference, the Original Batiste Dry Shampoo, brush through and I’m all ready to go. Any excess oil on my scalp just disappears and my hair looks fresher with a lot more added volume. I get through about a can every 2 weeks, but for under £2, I class this as a bargain. I wouldn’t be without it.
My friends and I have tried more expensive dry shampoos, £5-£10 range and even £10+, but we always come back to the Basiste Dry Shampoo. It’s avaliable to buy at most supermarkets, boots and superdrug. Supermarkets tend to be a little bit cheaper, as you can end up paying £2.10ish at boots.
Hope you’re all having a fab weekend and enjoying reading
I’m on the mend today, feeling a lot better, moving around more and taking less pain killers.
